The artist
Lesslie Li is a Chinese-Canadian soprano opera singer based in British Columbia, Canada. She began singing Chinese folk music and studying piano at the age of eight, building an early connection to storytelling through music.
At the age of eleven, she also started playing trombone in her elementary school concert band. In grade nine, she switched to oboe in concert band and continued playing trombone in her high school jazz band. Currently, she is highly skilled not only vocally but also on piano, trombone, and oboe!
From the beginning of her classical opera studies in September 2025, she has continued to develop her voice through art song, performance, and focused training. Her long-term goal is to become a professional opera singer.
Alongside her own studies, Lesslie also founded her school’s Choir Club and serves as its president, creating a place for students to sing, connect, and share music!

Dear lovely person,
Some of the music I love most has made me feel understood, even when I couldn’t find the words for how I felt. Through my singing, I hope to share a little bit of that warmth with you— a sprinkle of the love of music for you to sparkle 💖
Never give up on your dreams,
Lesslie Li.
